- Use this command to create a new document in Alleycode.
- Select the appropriate document type in the popup menu.
- Choose between:
- HTML Project
- XHTML Project
- -----------------
Plain Text
- Style Sheet
PHP script
- A basic starter page will open accordingly.

- Style Sheet page
PHP Script page

Open (Ctrl+O) > Open
From the menu go to:
- File > Open...
- Use this command to open an existing document in a new window.
- Alleycode displays the File Open dialog box so you can choose
documents to edit.
- You can open multiple documents at once.
- To open multiple documents:
1) Click File > Open
2) Open dialogue box opens.
3) Select (highlight) file to open. Dont
double click or click on open at this point.
4) Hold CTRL key down and click on every file
to open.
5) When every file to open is selected, click
Open.
- Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+ O
Close Ctrl+F4
From the menu go to: File >Save As...
- Select to close a single focused document. If unsaved, you
will be prompted to '"Save somename.html?".
- NOTE: "Close" is also available by right clicking
the editor or active tab.
- Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+F4
Save Ctrl+S 
From the menu go to: File > Save.
- Use this command to save the active document to its current
name and directory.
- When you save a document for the first time, Alleycode displays
the Save As
- dialog box so you can name your document. If you want to
change the name and
- directory of an existing document before you save it, choose
the Save As command.
- Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+S

- Save All
From the menu go to: File > Save All.
- Use this command to save all open documents to their current
filename and directory.
- This command will automatically give you the option to save
Untitled documents.

- Save As
From the menu go to: File >Save As...
- Use this command to save and name the active document. Alleycode
displays the
- "Save As" dialog box so you can name your document.
Print... Ctrl+P
- Print
From the menu go to: File > Print...
- Use this command to print a document. Printing preferences
can be set from menu
- go to: Tools > Preferences... In Preferences go to: General
> Printer.
- Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+P
- Print Selected
From the menu go to: File > Print Selected...
- Use this command to print a "highlighted" portion
of your document. Printing
- preferences can be set from menu go to: Tools > Preferences...
In Preferences
- go to: General > Printer.

- FTP
From the menu go to: File > FTP
- FTP is not available unless linked and activated.
To activate your favorite FTP program from the menu go to:
- Tools > Preferences > Tools > FTP. Click "Browse
and Select" to locate the
- .exe of your chosen software.

Exit Alt+F4
- Exit
Use this command to close Alleycode. If any open documents are
modified
- you will be prompted to save them accordingly.
